Gener8 was asked to create Nanocellect’s next generation image guided cell sorter that focused on ease of use.

Working with Gener8 engineering and Nanocellect labratory experts, Larry Trigg and Justin Francke collaborated to create an uncluttered and ordered interior component layout that allowed easier and faster setup of complex cell counting experiments.

Larry’s wrap-over door design maximized access for all user heights, even with the instrument operating in a fume hood.

The totally customizable gradiated door lighting provides machine status visibility from across the room in busy labs, without being too bright or distracting.

Thoughtful internal component layout enabled a smaller footprint than similar instruments from Nanocellect’s competitors.

Sometimes there’s a need to explain to our engineering and manufacturing engineers the feasibility of a design concept. In this case, I created a sketch demonstrating the construction and operation of the wrap around sliding mechanism in order to maintain design intent thru production.
